Designation: Area Sales Manager (Individual contributor role) 

Position: 1 

Job Timing: 09:00 to 18:00 (Monday to Saturday)  

Job Profile: 

1. Territory and Customer Identification: Identify and assess potential territories and  customer segments for business growth.  

2. Customer Collaboration: Work closely with customers to understand their  requirements and identify opportunities for tailored solutions.  

3. Decision Maker Engagement: Schedule appointments with key decision-makers and  recommend appropriate products based on customer needs.  

4. Account Development: Build new accounts from the ground up, exhibiting patience and  persistence in relationship building. 

5. Target Orientation: Set and achieve ambitious sales targets, demonstrating a strong  focus on results.  

6. Problem Solving: Display a willingness to understand and resolve customer challenges. 

7. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to acquire and retain  customers.  

8. Relationship Building: Establish and nurture relationships with customers at all  organizational levels.  

9. Stakeholder Management: Manage multiple stakeholders and navigate ambiguous  environments effectively.  

10. Pre- and Post-Sales Support: Handle pre-sales inquiries and address post-sales  service requirements efficiently.  

11. Sales Reporting: Prepare, maintain, and submit required sales reports, tracking  performance metrics.  

12. Adaptability: Be a go-getter who can adjust to diverse work environments and  challenges.  

13. Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback  to identify growth opportunities and recommend product enhancements. 

14. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams (R&D,  manufacturing, quality assurance, and marketing) to ensure alignment on customer  requirements and drive continuous improvement.  

15. Sales Forecasting: Maintain accurate sales records, prepare forecasts, and generate  reports on sales performance, customer satisfaction, and market share trends.  

16. Event Participation: Participate in trade shows and events to promote products and  generate leads. 

Qualification:  

1. Bachelor's degree in administration/marketing. Mechanical Engineering or master’s in  business  

2. Minimum of 4-10 years of experience in direct sales to automotive/aerospace/defense  industry.  

3. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets  

4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills  

5. Ability to analyze market trends  

6. Proficient in MS office
