Responsibilities

• Develop complex e-commerce applications as a member of diverse, high-energy technical teams focused on full life-cycle development based on Agile/SAFe methodologies.
• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner, technical staff members, architects, and project members to develop new functionality from business specifications.
• Engage in the entire lifecycle including analysis, development, fixing, and monitoring of issues.
• Utilize the latest tools and techniques (Java/J2EE, XML, REST, Spring, Microservices, JUnit, Mockito, Git, etc.) for software development.
• Mentor junior developers while performing hands-on coding.
• Contribute to highly collaborative teams that strive to build quality code and provide business value.
• Focus on writing clean, high-quality code and solid designs.
• Execute unit tests for the developed functionalities and actively participate in the code review process.
• Innovate by bringing new ideas to reduce manual repetitive work and increase automation within the system.
• Practice Test Driven Development (TDD) within a continuous integration environment.

Qualifications

• Education: An Engineering Degree - B.E/B.Tech/MS in Computer Science preferred.
• Experience: Professional programming experience with a minimum of 6+ years of strong product development experience.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in Java and Spring Framework.
  • Working experience with databases, particularly SQL/SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies with hands-on experience on any public cloud platform like AWS or Azure.
  • Excellent object-oriented design (OO) skills.
  • Strong expertise in Data Structures and Algorithms.
  • Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) in a continuous integration environment.
  • Familiarity with SAFe/Agile methodologies is a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in a collaborative, agile environment.
• Understanding of microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with development tools and version control systems.

Experience

• Minimum of 6 years of professional programming experience in a product development role.
