Job Summary

The Assistant Manager – Business Finance Analytics will work closely with the Head of Business Finance to foster data-driven decision-making throughout the organization. This role is crucial in supporting financial analysis and providing insights that drive business performance.

Responsibilities

• Data Extraction & Analysis: Extract, clean, and analyze large datasets from various sources using SQL and Zoho to facilitate business finance reporting and decision-making.
• Reporting & Dashboards: Design and maintain dashboards, Management Information System (MIS) reports, and financial trackers for review by the Head of Business Finance. Build and automate recurring reports to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting cycles.
• Financial Analysis & Insights: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver insights on revenue, costs, margins, profitability, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Conduct variance analysis, trend analysis, and ad-hoc deep-dives into areas of concern. Support budgeting, forecasting, and business review presentations using relevant data analyses.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: MBA or PGDM in Finance, CA Inter, or B.Com with strong quantitative aptitude.
• Experience: 3-6 years of experience in business finance, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), MIS, or data analytics roles.
• Cross-Functional Exposure: Prior experience working with cross-functional teams in a start-up environment.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation (not mandatory).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with AI tools is an added advantage.

Preferred Skills

• Relevant analytics experience will be considered beneficial.

Experience

3-6 years of relevant experience in business finance roles, FP&A, MIS, or data analytics.
