Python Automation Engineer

Job Summary

The Senior Test Automation Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through automated testing. This position focuses on creating, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts for web and mobile applications, thereby contributing to overall project success and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement automated test scripts using Python or Java.
• Perform automated testing of applications via REST APIs and web interfaces using Selenium and WebdriverIO.
• Collaborate with the development team to integrate automation testing into the continuous integration pipeline using Jenkins.
• Participate in Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) processes and contribute to the creation of test scenarios using Cucumber.
• Manage test environments on platforms such as SauceLabs, Perfecto, Browserstack, and Headspin.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members on best practices in automation testing.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in test automation with Python or Java.
• Strong expertise in REST API automation testing and UI testing using Selenium and WebdriverIO.
• Proficiency with version control tools such as GIT or Bitbucket.
• Familiarity with continuous integration tools like Jenkins.
• Experience with test management tools such as Jira, Confluence, ALM, and X-ray.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Strong planning and time-management abilities.
• Proven ability to manage relationships with both internal and external customers.

Preferred Skills

Mandatory:Appium

• Experience with behavior-driven development (BDD) methodologies.
• Familiarity with cloud testing or performance testing tools.
• Experience in agile project environments.

Experience

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in software testing and automation, with a strong focus on web and API testing.
