Job Summary

The Principal Engineer - Zero Trust Network plays a critical role in designing and implementing network security solutions based on Zero Trust principles. This position is essential for enhancing the organization's security posture in a complex, global enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Zero Trust Network solutions, ensuring robust security controls are in place.
• Develop and maintain frameworks around network segmentation and micro-segmentation strategies.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to enforce identity and access management processes.
• Stay updated on cybersecurity best practices, threat landscape, and regulatory requirements such as GDPR and HIPAA.
• Utilize and manage security tools including firewalls, VPNs, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection technologies.
• Conduct analytical evaluations and solve complex networking problems to improve the organization's security infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 12 to 14 years in networking, with at least 5 years focusing on network security.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of Zero Trust principles, frameworks, and technologies.
• Design Experience: Proven track record in designing and implementing Zero Trust Network solutions.
• Cybersecurity Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
• Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or equivalent industry certifications are highly desirable.
• Professional Certifications: Preferred certifications in Security products like Firewalls (Palo Alto), Secure Service Edge (SSE) like Zscaler, Segmentation (Elisity, Tetrate), Routing & Switching (Cisco, Juniper), and Cloud (Azure, GCP).
