Overall Job Purpose
The role is to support preparation activity related to IFRS17 go live, working closely with Senior Accounting and Actuarial stakeholders (based in London and Kildean/Edinburgh).  This role will be focussed on driving delivery to the detailed plans which have significant cross dependencies hence complexity
Primary Key Responsibilities (Top 3-5 KRA)
o Own the end to end delivery of this high complexity projects, working closely with key business stakeholders; leading on agreed set of expected benefits and outcomes,  This includes driving results production cyles and working closely with technology on testing plans.
o Able to escalate issues and risks quickly and efficiently to senior stakeholders to prevent slippage on the plan.
o Create and maintain high quality project plans (with built in risk mitigation strategies) and work packages 
o Evaluate delivery options and work with the wider business to develop a full and detailed implementation plan
o Stakeholder Management.
Additional Responsibilities : 
• Provide regular forecasts of the future Change and BAU resources required for the project planning activity, as well as the predicted requirements for full end to end project delivery
• Adhere  to governance standards, including Project Change Standard and guidelines, maintaining accurate RACI and RAID logs and Service Now records
• Produce timely management information ensuring all mandatory documentation is completed and signed off at the appropriate stages during the life of the project and establish additional governance to reflect the complexity of the project as required
• Forecast future external costs, understand the drivers of project cost variance and take actions to control costs to budgets or raise change control
• Monitor and report progress to the impacted stakeholders (e.g. sponsor(s), programme manager, Change Programme Directors, steering committee) including ongoing business case viability
• Independently identify and take ownership of issues, risks and dependencies, making recommendations to mitigate the risk or to reduce/remove issues. Escalate where appropriate to maintain progress towards project delivery and act as an escalation point on behalf of the Project Sponsor
• Manage resource planning and motivate the project team to ensure a high standard of output, focused on customer satisfaction and delivery through developing others through providing  ongoing guidance, mentoring or coaching
• Manage relationships with required teams e.g. Technology, external suppliers  and other business functions to achieve timely delivery
• Participate in improving the change capability across the firm through sharing project and change management disciplines with the wider business
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment, customer outcomes
• Demonstrate a positive risk, compliance and control culture through the identification, assessment, monitoring and management of risks and issues within the business area, alongside ensuring timely and appropriate resolution of control weaknesses, actions and failures that arise

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Educational Qualification
The successful candidate will have experience of delivering projects within the Finance sector, will display strong Project Management, Communication and relationship management skills.  Being familiar with  IFRS17 would  be advantageous.   Must have experience of Financial Reporting and Life Company.
