Job Description - Senior Electrical Engineer Position: Senior Electrical Engineer Location: Mumbai Experience Level: 5 + Years Responsibilities: ➢ Support the development of Battery Management Systems (BMS) for electric Vehicle battery packs to ensure their efficient and reliable operation. ➢ Undertake tasks related to the BMS circuitry, including: - Circuit design, Schematic capture, PCB layout for BMS modules, and associated electronics. ➢ Conduct rigorous testing and validation of BMS prototypes to: - Ensure compliance with safety standards, meet performance requirements, and abide by regulatory guidelines. ➢ Analyse battery performance data to optimize the BMS: - Evaluate voltage, current, temperature, and state of charge data and enhance battery efficiency and lifespan through optimized algorithms. ➢ Good understanding of CAN communications protocol. ➢ Assist in defining battery specifications and perform tasks such as: - Cell characterization, Validation. ➢ Troubleshoot and debug BMS-related issues during the development phase, Production phase, and Field operation phase. Education and Skills Requirements: ➢ Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. ➢ Experience in the design and development of Battery Management Systems (BMS) for lithium-ion battery packs. ➢ Proficiency in using Simulation, schematic capture, and PCB layout tools Knowledge of battery characteristics, chemistry, charging algorithms, and safety considerations. ➢ Understanding of battery cell balancing techniques and algorithms. ➢ Experience in embedded systems and firmware development for BMS applications. ➢ Capability to analyse and interpret battery performance data using relevant software tools. ➢ Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. ➢ Strong communication and collaboration skills, suitable for a cross-functional team environment. ➢ From OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) background, Engineering Companies & Manufacturing Units
