Job Summary

The Senior Analyst 3 in Controllership plays a crucial role in assisting with the preparation, analysis, review, verification, and reconciliation of various financial records and reports. This position is responsible for generating standard and specialized financial reports and performing moderately complex financial analyses to summarize the company's current and projected financial position.

Responsibilities

• Review Month End Complex Journals in accordance with Finance Close Schedules, ensuring appropriate and reasonable backups support the journals.
• Review Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations, ensuring backups provide an analytical view of closing balances and are organized and sufficient.
• Drive the closure of reconciling items by understanding their root causes and liaising with other finance functions for timely resolution.
• Identify and drive process improvements and standardization activities.
• Perform Month End Balance Sheet Commentaries by identifying major drivers for balance movements.
• Provide independent support for handling internal/external audit data requirements and queries, offering management explanations.
• Maintain and regularly update process documentation.
• Review and prepare ad hoc reports based on requirements.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualifications:
  • CA with 2+ years of relevant work experience in GL Accounting Function in any Controllership/Shared Services in Service/Manufacturing Industry.
  • CA Intermediate with 4+ years of relevant work experience in GL Accounting Function in any Controllership/Shared Services in Service/Manufacturing Industry.
  • B.Com / M.Com / ICWA with 6 to 9 years of relevant work experience in GL Accounting Function in any Controllership/Shared Services in Service/Manufacturing Industry.
• Key Skills:
  • Strong accounting knowledge of principles and concepts.
  • Expertise in MS Office, especially MS Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Analytical bent of mind.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of SAP FICO Module.

Experience

• 2+ years of relevant work experience for CA, 4+ years for CA Intermediate, or 6 to 9 years for B.Com/M.Com/ICWA in GL Accounting Function in any Controllership/Shared Services in Service/Manufacturing Industry.
• Candidates from IT/Telecom are preferred.
