Job Description The idea is to localize given content and make it suitable for consumption by the American audience. The text given would be rooted in Eastern culture, this needs to be edited and localized to make it sound American. This involves changing names and locations, cultural reflections, etc. This also involves taking creative calls in liaison with your assigned team lead and making creative decisions regarding the show. You will be the Single PoC and have complete ownership of the show assigned to you. You will be required to edit and return ~130k words per month, broken down into weekly deliveries. In addition to this, you will also be required to listen to the final episode and provide feedback on voiceovers Responsibilities ● Work closely with the team lead to ensure quality matches expectations, and make changes as required by the team lead. ● Write scripts for a targeted audience, using literary skills to develop themes for appropriate scripts based on the team's content strategy. ● Reviewing and revising existing scripts as needed to ensure they are consistent with current standards or requirements ● Content Supervision: Evaluating and assessing the performance of your show quantitatively as well as qualitatively. In addition to writing/editing, you will also be required to listen to the final episode before it goes live to the audience ● Research & Planning: Working on a content pipeline that is grounded in data and insights derived from internal tools and partner teams. ● Working closely with the data analytics team and doing meaningful measurements of content performance. Make interventions and revisions to achieve the desired goals. ● Creating and maintaining documentation of all drafts, changes, and revisions to scripts throughout the writing process. ● End to End ownership of execution of scriptwriting as per weekly/monthly targets ● You may be required to work closely with US-based Sr. Writers and leads to understand areas of improvement in the scripts Qualification ● 2-7 years of work experience in a writing/editing role as a leader in fictional content creation (television, OTT Entertainment, Radio, Films & other media). Preference for background with Fictional Entertainment for TV. ● Bachelor’s Degree in related fields. Preference for a Master’s Degree ● Exceptional communicator - ability to inspire and influence, and dexterity in presenting to large/ diverse audiences. Native or bilingual proficiency in speaking and writing in English ● Experience with creating compelling messages for different target demographics. ● Should be passionate about data-driven digital content landscape ● Strategic thinker with creative flair and project management skills crafting world-class creative strategy and spearheading the execution. ● Innately curious and thrives on gleaning insights from data, and able to identify creative opportunities in content and translate these into sharp creative strategies. ● Proactive, fast, and flexible problem-solver with superb time, resource, and stakeholder management. ● Own and manage processes and reporting with cross-functional partners for tracking and monitoring performance on content creation ● Ability to interact meaningfully with people of diverse backgrounds, personalities, and expertise ● Passion and curiosity toward building great product experiences for everyone ● Self-motivated leader and strong collaborator/ team player - with the ability to maintain calm, make good decisions, and work with constant ambiguity.
