Job Summary

The ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Tester is responsible for verifying and validating data integration processes, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and quality across source systems and data warehouses. The role contributes to the organization’s goal of maintaining reliable business intelligence and analytics by ensuring robust data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and understand business requirements and data specifications to develop effective ETL test cases.
• Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive ETL test plans, test scripts, and test data.
• Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes for accuracy, completeness, and performance.
• Identify, document, and report defects, inconsistencies, or data quality issues to development teams.
• Collaborate with developers, data architects, and business analysts to resolve issues and optimize ETL processes.
• Perform regression, integration, and system testing as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in ETL testing or data warehouse testing.
• Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data modeling, and data warehousing.
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries for data validation and analysis.
• Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, DataStage, SSIS).
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM).
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with big data platforms (Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
• Exposure to cloud data warehousing solutions (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse).
• Knowledge of automation frameworks for data testing.
• Understanding of data governance and data quality best practices.
• Certification in ETL tools or data warehousing technologies.

Experience

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in ETL or data warehouse testing in enterprise environments.

Environment

• Work Location: Bangalore (Onsite).
• Full-time position; standard office hours.
• Collaborative team environment with cross-functional interaction.
• May require occasional extended hours to meet project deadlines.

Salary

Estimated salary range: ₹8,000,000 – ₹9,999,992 per annum.
