PHP Developer

Job Summary

The PHP Developer is responsible for developing and integrating systems primarily using PHP and the CodeIgniter framework. This role involves designing and implementing RESTful APIs, facilitating data exchange between various systems, and optimizing existing applications to enhance performance and user experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs between Linux, PHP, and Python systems.
• Handle end-to-end API development, consumption, and documentation.
• Implement JavaScript form validation and manage AJAX-based interactions.
• Build and maintain user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Optimize MySQL queries and manage database operations for performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integrations.
• Maintain and enhance existing Open Source Software (OSS) applications and tools.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Core PHP and the CodeIgniter Framework.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture.
• Experience in RESTful API Development & Integration.
• Familiarity with Python scripting for system-level tasks and integrations.
• Knowledge of Linux command-line operations, including cron jobs and file permissions.
• Proficient in JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX for front-end development.
• Experience with MySQL (basic operations, query optimization).
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS/JavaScript for UI development.
• Experience in handling the PHP-Python interface.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Understanding of security practices for web applications.
