Job Summary

The Data Modeler role focuses on expertise in data modeling tools and methodologies specific to various domains such as manufacturing, sales, finance, and customer management. The position is vital for the development and management of efficient data structures, vital for data-driven decision making within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data models using tools such as ER/Studio, Erwin, and IDM/ARDM Models for different domains including CPG, Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, and Supplier/Customer.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement them effectively using modern MPP database technologies like Databricks Lakehouse, Redshift, Synapse, Teradata, or Snowflake.
• Utilize version control systems like GitHub and deployment & Continuous Integration (CI) tools for effective management of data modeling processes.
• Manage metadata, including data lineage and data glossaries, ensuring accurate data documentation practices.
• Participate in agile development processes, applying knowledge of DevOps and DataOps concepts to streamline data model development.
• Apply understanding of SAP data models, especially in the context of HANA and S/4HANA, and handle retail data from sources such as IRI and Nielsen Retail.

Qualifications

• Expertise in data modeling tools (e.g., ER/Studio, Erwin, IDM/ARDM).
• Experience with at least one MPP database technology (e.g., Databricks Lakehouse, Redshift, Synapse, Teradata, or Snowflake).
• Proficiency in version control systems, specifically GitHub.
