Job Summary

The Revenue Controller plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of every rupee recognized in the organization. This position is responsible for managing revenue from gross to net, overseeing the claims lifecycle, and ensuring financial accuracy across multiple sales channels. The role requires collaboration between finance and business to align numbers that support growth and decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Revenue Integrity: Own and manage monthly revenue closing, ensuring compliance with Ind AS 115, and accuracy in gross-to-net revenue across all channels.
  • Accounts Receivable (AR) & Reconciliations: Lead reconciliations with major platforms and customers, overseeing promotional claims, damages, and returns throughout their lifecycle.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with Business Finance to provide accurate and timely revenue numbers for channel P&Ls and commercial decisions.
  • Cash Flow & Risk Management: Improve Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) across channels, define provisioning policies, and manage credit terms to mitigate risk.
  • Systems & Automation: Implement scalable accounts receivable workflows and drive automation to minimize manual dependencies, ensuring accuracy in financial processes.
  • Team Management: Lead and develop a team of 6-8 individuals, fostering a culture of precision and accountability in revenue reporting.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 6+ years in controllership, revenue assurance, or accounts receivables, with significant exposure to omnichannel consumer businesses.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with sales across quick commerce, marketplaces, and offline channels, understanding their unique reconciliation processes.
  • Financial Acumen: Capability to perform month-end closings and explain revenue variances effectively to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data independently, develop financial models, and identify revenue leakages early.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record in managing teams, with the ability to delegate responsibilities effectively.
  • Process Improvement: Expertise in designing and enhancing AR processes from incomplete financial infrastructures.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with ERP systems to optimize financial workflows.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools and financial modeling.

Experience

  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role overseeing finance or accounting teams.

Environment

  • Location: Mumbai, specifically in Sakinaka, Andheri East. The role operates in an office environment with a focus on collaboration among finance and business teams.
