BIZZY BIX JOB DESCRIPTION Business Finance Lead Job Title Department Business Finance Lead Reporting To Finance & Accounts Location Founder Employment Type TBD Experience Required Full-Time 5 Years in Finance / Accounts About Bizzy Bix Bizzy Bix is reimagining the ₹50,000+ Cr biscuit category in India — building a new-age, better for-you brand with high energy, strong product innovation, and modern distribution. Funded and built out of one of India’s leading venture studios. We build like a sports team — small, sharp, fast. No passengers. Channels: Quick commerce · Modern trade · General trade · D2C Role Summary You will be the financial backbone of Bizzy Bix. This is not a reporting role. It’s not a compliance-only job. It’s a build-from-scratch, own-it-all role at a fast-moving consumer brand at the start of something big. You’ll own every rupee that moves through this business — where it goes, what it costs, what it means. Finance here isn’t a support function. It’s a growth lever. What You’ll Own Financial Management & Planning • Own the full financial planning cycle — budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. No one checks your work before the founder sees it. • Build financial models that actually drive decisions — unit economics, channel margins, pricing scenarios, fundraising inputs. • Lead annual planning and keep it alive through the year. Plans should predict reality, not just document ambition. MIS & Reporting • Design and own MIS dashboards that give leadership real-time visibility — not 10-day-old numbers in a spreadsheet. • Deliver financial and operational reports that are sharp, on time, and tell a clear story. The founder shouldn’t need to ask twice. • Be the single source of truth. Data in, data out — accuracy is non-negotiable. P&L Management • Own the P&L — every line, every week. Revenues, COGS, channel costs, gross margins. Nothing should surprise you. • Spot risks before they become problems. Spot opportunities before the team misses them. Come with a point of view, not just a report. • Drive cost discipline across business units. Plug leakage. Make every rupee work harder. Audit & Compliance • Run internal and statutory audits cleanly, on schedule, with zero surprises for the leadership team. • Keep the company clean — GST, TDS, ROC, statutory filings. Compliance is your baseline, not your ceiling. • Manage relationships with external auditors, CA firms, and regulatory authorities. Be the point person — no hand-holding needed. Cash Flow Management • Know the cash position at all times — daily, weekly, monthly. No liquidity surprises. • Optimise working capital continuously. Ensure we’re never cash-constrained when the business needs to move fast. • Own banking relationships and fund utilisation. Capital should be working, not sitting. Payment Recovery Management • Own accounts receivable end-to-end. What’s owed to us gets collected — on time, every time. • Build and run dunning and recovery frameworks that reduce DSO and keep bad debt close to zero. • Work closely with sales and ops to make collections a shared accountability, not a finance afterthought. Bookkeeping & Accounts • Keep the books tight — payables, receivables, journal entries. Clean, current, complete. • Own the general ledger and run month-end and year-end close without it becoming a fire drill. • Review all reconciliations — bank, vendor, inter-company. Gaps get caught here, not by auditors. ERP & Systems • Own the ERP — configuration, data hygiene, user governance. It should be a system people actually use, not work around. • Drive ERP adoption and process standardisation across teams. Messy data in means messy decisions out. • Continuously improve financial systems and workflows. Automate the repetitive. Eliminate the manual. Who We’re Looking For • CA, MBA Finance, or equivalent — the credential matters less than the depth of financial thinking behind it • 5+ years in finance or business finance — ideally at a startup, FMCG company, or fast-moving consumer brand where you’ve had to figure things out without a big team behind you • Comfortable in an ERP (Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) — and strong enough in Excel or Google Sheets to build anything the ERP can’t Key Skills & Mindset Technical Skills Financial Modelling & Analysis P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow MIS Reporting & Dashboards ERP / Accounting Software Tax, GST, TDS, Compliance Advanced Excel / Google Sheets Soft Skills You’ll Thrive Here If… High ownership & accountability Strong analytical thinking Excellent communication skills Attention to detail & accuracy Ability to work under pressure Cross-functional collaboration • You think in systems and root causes, not just symptoms • You move between strategy and spreadsheets without losing pace • You hate ambiguity in numbers and fix it fast • You’re excited to build, not just maintain • You can hold your own in a room with the founder, investors, or a vendor CFO This role is not right for you if… You’re looking for a structured finance function with clear processes handed to you. This is a zero-to-one build. The upside is significant. So is the ownership. What Success Looks Like Month 3 Books clean, ERP running, compliance calendar owned. Leadership has a weekly MIS they actually trust. Month 6 Full P&L visibility by channel. Cash flow forecasting running with confidence. Receivables process built and active. Month 12 Finance is a strategic input to every major decision. Audit clean. DSO improving. The founder trusts the numbers without checking them twice. Month 18 Finance function investor-ready. Unit economics documented and improving. You’re operating at CFO level. The title may follow. Why This Role Matters • Direct access to the founder and leadership team — your work shapes decisions at the top • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience • The chance to build the finance function from zero — your systems, your processes, your standards • A lean, high-ownership team where accountability is celebrated and bureaucracy doesn’t exist • A clear path to CFO as Bizzy Bix scales — if you build it right, the title follows
