Job Summary

The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing plant operations, ensuring optimal production and quality standards are met. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage personnel effectively, set and monitor performance targets, and maintain compliance with industry regulations. The Plant Manager plays a critical role in contributing to the organization’s strategic goals through effective resource management and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all plant operations to ensure production goals are met while maintaining compliance with facade industry regulations such as ASTM, AAMA, and EN.
  • Manage and lead the team, conducting performance reviews, setting targets, and monitoring outcomes to drive performance.
  • Develop and implement workflow optimization strategies, capacity planning, and scheduling to enhance resource allocation and efficiency.
  • Promote a culture of health and safety by implementing quality control systems and ensuring adherence to standards.
  • Utilize digital tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, ERP systems) for effective data management and operational decision-making.
  • Provide leadership in conflict resolution, ensuring a high-performance culture through team development and workforce training.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in facade engineering or related fields, with a strong emphasis on management and operational roles.
  • Proven track record in people management, including target setting, performance monitoring, and team development.
  • Extensive knowledge of facade systems, fabrication processes (CNC programming, aluminum and steel fabrication, welding), and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Proficiency in quality control systems and health and safety regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills coupled with an ownership mindset and ethical integrity.
  • Experience in budgeting, KPI monitoring, and inventory management.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with digital tools, including AutoCAD and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating resilience and effective conflict resolution.
  • Excellent decision-making abilities and a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to foster a culture of ethics and trust within the organization.

Experience

  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in plant or facade engineering management, highlighting leadership capabilities and project oversight.

Environment

  • The work setting will typically involve both on-site operations and office environments in Bangalore, with potential remote work flexibility.
