Job Summary
The Business Systems Analyst will play a critical role in leading solution development for sales use cases in areas such as asset lifecycle management, configure-price-quote (CPQ), subscription and billing, and lead to cash processes. This position requires facilitating discovery and analysis sessions with key stakeholders to derive clear business rules and requirements, which are essential for development teams. The analyst will ensure effective project planning and execution while being an expert in the Salesforce CPQ platform as well as Sales Cloud.
Responsibilities
- Lead discovery and analysis sessions with stakeholders to identify business rules and requirements for Salesforce solutions.
- Write user stories, conduct sprint planning, and manage backlog grooming in collaboration with development teams.
- Facilitate the design, implementation, and enhancement of the Salesforce CPQ application and related declarative components.
- Partner with business domain leaders to develop and communicate a robust Enterprise Application roadmap.
- Drive the planning and prioritization of projects, utilizing tools such as JIRA for user stories and design processes.
- Collaborate with Business Systems Analysts and Product Managers across various locations to achieve project objectives.
- Provide support for existing Salesforce CPQ solutions, addressing production issues and implementing necessary enhancements.
- Contribute to strategic projects within the Quote-to-Cash space, ensuring successful project execution and adherence to requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
- 6+ years of IT experience, with a minimum of 3 years as a business analyst or product manager supporting the Salesforce CPQ platform.
- Deep understanding of Salesforce’s product suite including CPQ, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Field Service Lightning (FSL), Community Cloud, and AppExchange.
- Experienced in managing application development while employing software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and DevOps.
- Strong knowledge of SaaS principles, particularly in product setup, configuration, pricing, quoting, subscription management, and billing.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to articulate technical concepts in business terminology.
- Proven experience in developing a culture of innovation and fostering effective team dynamics.
Preferred Skills
- Project Management experience is a plus.
- CPQ Specialist certification.
- Salesforce Administrator Certification (201) and Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant.
Experience
- Minimum of 6 years in IT with at least 3 years of relevant experience in the Salesforce CPQ platform.
