Job Summary

The Performance Testing Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of software applications through rigorous performance testing and engineering. This role is integral to maintaining the quality of products and services, ensuring they meet performance expectations and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive performance testing using JMeter, focusing on load, stress, endurance, stability, and resiliency tests.
• Design test plans and strategies, involved in workload model design and test case design.
• Gather Non-Functional Requirements (NFR) from stakeholders to inform performance testing projects.
• Set up test environments and manage test data effectively.
• Monitor system performance using Application Performance Management (APM) tools such as AppDynamics and DataDog.
• Collaborate with Agile/DevOps teams to integrate performance testing into the software development life cycle.
• Mentor junior resources and provide leadership to team members.
• Communicate clearly with various stakeholders to report findings and improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience: 10-15 years in Performance Testing and Performance Engineering.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in JMeter and custom coding (Mandatory and Expert level).
  • Good knowledge of Java or Python programming.
  • Expertise in performance engineering processes and methodologies.
  • Strong scripting skills for non-functional tests using JMeter.
  • Familiarity with various protocols such as HTTP/HTML, REST, Queues, Web Services, and asynchronous requests.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Education: Relevant degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Frontend Performance Testing.
• Experience leading a team or mentoring junior members.

Experience

5 to 15 years of relevant experience in Performance Testing and Performance Engineering.

Environment

• Work setting is primarily remote, with the option to pick up a laptop at Bangalore or Chandigarh office.
• Candidates must be available for immediate joining.
