Overall Job Purpose<br />
The role is to support preparation activity related to IFRS17 go live, working closely with Senior<br />
Accounting and Actuarial stakeholders (based in London and Kildean/Edinburgh). This role will be<br />
focussed on driving delivery to the detailed plans which have significant cross dependencies hence<br />
complexity<br />
Primary Key Responsibilities (Top 3-5 KRA)<br />
o Own the end to end delivery of this high complexity projects, working closely with key business<br />
stakeholders; leading on agreed set of expected benefits and outcomes, This includes driving<br />
results production cyles and working closely with technology on testing plans.<br />
o Able to escalate issues and risks quickly and efficiently to senior stakeholders to prevent slippage<br />
on the plan.<br />
o Create and maintain high quality project plans (with built in risk mitigation strategies) and work<br />
packages<br />
o Evaluate delivery options and work with the wider business to develop a full and detailed<br />
implementation plan<br />
o Stakeholder Management.<br />

<div> Provide regular forecasts of the future Change and BAU resources required for the project planning<br />
activity, as well as the predicted requirements for full end to end project delivery<br />
Adhere to governance standards, including Project Change Standard and guidelines, maintaining<br />
accurate RACI and RAID logs and Service Now records<br />
Produce timely management information ensuring all mandatory documentation is completed and<br />
signed off at the appropriate stages during the life of the project and establish additional<br />
governance to reflect the complexity of the project as required<br />
Forecast future external costs, understand the drivers of project cost variance and take actions to<br />
control costs to budgets or raise change control<br />
Monitor and report progress to the impacted stakeholders (e.g. sponsor(s), programme manager,<br />
Change Programme Directors, steering committee) including ongoing business case viability<br />
Independently identify and take ownership of issues, risks and dependencies, making<br />
recommendations to mitigate the risk or to reduce/remove issues. Escalate where appropriate to<br />
maintain progress towards project delivery and act as an escalation point on behalf of the Project<br />
Sponsor<br />
Manage resource planning and motivate the project team to ensure a high standard of output,<br />
focused on customer satisfaction and delivery through developing others through providing <br />
ongoing guidance, mentoring or coaching<br />
Manage relationships with required teams e.g. Technology, external suppliers and other business<br />
functions to achieve timely delivery<br />
Participate in improving the change capability across the firm through sharing project and change<br />
management disciplines with the wider business<br />
Work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance<br />
controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment,<br />
customer outcomes<br />
Demonstrate a positive risk, compliance and control culture through the identification, assessment,<br />
monitoring and management of risks and issues within the business area, alongside ensuring timely<br />
and appropriate resolution of control weaknesses, actions and failures that arise</div>

The successful candidate will have experience of delivering projects within the Finance sector, will<br />
display strong Project Management, Communication and relationship management skills. Being<br />
familiar with IFRS17 would be advantageous. Must have experience of Financial Reporting and Life<br />
Company.<br />
