Manager-Projects

Job Summary

The Manager-Projects will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. This role is crucial for maintaining operational excellence, financial management, and effective people management within the project team.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Management:

    • Drive site reviews and project budgeting to align with organizational goals.
    • Coordinate with the Finance team to facilitate timely pay-outs to contractors, vendors, and Project Management Consultants (PMCs) as needed.
  • Operational Excellence:

    • Devise and implement a sequence of construction activities in collaboration with contractors and PMCs.
    • Monitor site operations, including Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP), civil, and planning activities, to ensure adherence to project timelines.
    • Coordinate with the design team to ensure timely availability of Good for Construction (GFC) drawings and review them for potential risks in consultation with architects and consultants.
    • Analyze material requirements on-site, approve procurement requests, and coordinate with the Contracts and Budgeting team.
    • Oversee the snagging process in coordination with the Facilities and Handover team, ensuring proper rectification of identified issues.
  • People Management:

    • Define objectives and allocate work effectively within the team.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews, appraisals, and training sessions for team members, contractors, and PMCs.
    • Foster team engagement through team-building initiatives and activities.
  • Process Adherence & Improvement:

    • Ensure compliance with established quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
    • Identify areas of process improvement within the work scope and implement necessary changes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Strong financial management skills and experience in project budgeting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of construction processes and standards.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in team leadership and performance management.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the construction industry, with a focus on managing teams and budgets.

Environment

  • This position is based in Raipur and requires full-time, in-office work. The role may involve site visits and interactions with various stakeholders, including contractors and design teams.
