Location: Bangalore Company: Next Bharat Ventures (Private Equity Fund) Experience: ~6–10 years Compensation: Up to ₹40 LPA + 15–20% variable
About the Company
Next Bharat Ventures is a Private Equity fund focused on investing in high-potential businesses across Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets in India. With a strong vision to support “Made in India” entrepreneurship, the fund partners with founders to drive scalable and sustainable growth.
The team is currently in a growth phase, including raising its next fund, and is looking to strengthen its internal talent capabilities.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist (Individual Contributor) to drive hiring across the fund and its portfolio companies.
This role will play a critical part in building high-impact teams by hiring top talent across investment, operations, and leadership roles.
Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition (Core)
Drive end-to-end recruitment for roles within:
Investment teams (Analysts, Associates) Investment Operations Portfolio companies (CXO / senior leadership hiring)Manage sourcing, screening, stakeholder coordination, and offer closure

Strategic Hiring for Portfolio Companies
Partner with founders and leadership teams of portfolio companies Support hiring for critical business functions (Operations, Marketing, Strategy, etc.) Understand business needs and translate them into hiring strategies

Proactive Talent Mapping
Build and maintain a strong network of relevant talent in:
Private Equity / Venture Capital ecosystem Startups and growth-stage companiesContinuously engage with talent even when no active roles exist

Sourcing & Search Excellence
Independently source candidates before engaging external partners Collaborate with search firms when required, but not rely solely on them Bring a “search mindset” to hiring (market mapping, headhunting)

Stakeholder Management
Work closely with internal leadership and investment teams Align hiring priorities with business growth plans
Candidate Profile
Must-Have
Experience in a search firm / executive search setup
Exposure to Private Equity / Venture Capital hiring
Strong experience in lateral and leadership hiring (not volume hiring)
Proven ability in headhunting and talent mapping
Preferred Background
Experience hiring for:
Investment roles
Strategy / Operations roles
Startup ecosystem
Key Skills
Strong networking and relationship-building ability
