Vlocity Salesforce Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vlocity Salesforce Developer to design, develop, and implement Salesforce Industries (Vlocity) solutions using the OmniStudio toolkit. This role is responsible for configuring and customizing OmniStudio tools to ensure scalable, high-performance implementations that align with business requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with architects, analysts, and end users to deliver tailored industry-specific solutions in domains such as Communications, Insurance, Healthcare, and Utilities.

Responsibilities

• Solution Development: Design and develop Salesforce Industries solutions using OmniStudio tools including OmniScripts, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures, FlexCards, and Vlocity Cards.
• Customization: Customize Salesforce with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce. Optimize and implement Salesforce Industries Data Models (e.g., Communications Industry Model and Insurance Data Model).
• Integration: Develop scalable integration solutions utilizing Vlocity Integration Procedures, REST APIs, and Salesforce Connect.
• Configuration: Configure complex business rules and UI flows via OmniScripts and FlexCards; build and maintain declarative configurations within Salesforce and Vlocity tools.
• Collaboration and Support: Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Provide technical support throughout development, testing, deployment, and post-deployment.
• Documentation and Best Practices: Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, custom code, data models, and integration processes; adhere to and promote best practices for performance, scalability, security, and governance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Salesforce development with at least 1–2 years specifically in Salesforce Industries/Vlocity.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with OmniStudio tools: OmniScripts, DataRaptors (Extract, Load, Transform), Integration Procedures, FlexCards, and Vlocity Cards & Templates.
• Proficiency in Salesforce Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components (LWC), JavaScript, and Visualforce.
• Experience with Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP) and integrating external systems.
• Familiarity with Salesforce DX, CI/CD tools, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Good understanding of industry-specific data models and process flows (e.g., CPQ for Telecom, Claims for Insurance).
• Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Salesforce Platform Developer I or II certification.
• Salesforce OmniStudio/Vlocity Developer certification.
• Experience with Salesforce Industries CPQ, Enterprise Product Catalog (EPC), or Order Management.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and hands-on experience with tools like Jira and Confluence.

Experience

• A minimum of 5+ years of overall Salesforce development experience, including at least 1–2 years working specifically with Salesforce Industries/Vlocity solutions.

• This role operates within a collaborative Agile environment, involving participation in Scrum ceremonies and working closely with cross-functional teams including architects, analysts, and end users.
