Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Manager – Finance to oversee the end-to-end finance operations of our D2C brand. This role is crucial for someone who excels in a fast-paced startup environment and can manage statutory compliance, financial reporting, and banking relationships independently, while collaborating closely with consultants and auditors.

Responsibilities

• Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure timely TDS deduction, deposit & return filing (24Q/26Q/27Q); reconcile with 26AS/AIS.
  • Manage GST compliance — GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C, ITC reconciliation across multiple GSTINs with consultants.
  • Reconcile TCS (Section 52) with GSTR-8 filed by platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, etc.
  • Handle GST/TDS notices, assessments, and departmental queries along with consultants.

• Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Generate monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports with channel-wise revenue and contribution margin analysis.
  • Track budget vs. actual expenditures and monitor cash burn.
  • Lead statutory and tax audit finalization.

• Banking & Treasury

  • Manage banking relationships, including Cash Credit (CC) and Overdraft (OD) limits and working capital.
  • Prepare stock statements, debtor/creditor data, and Quarterly Information Statements (QIS) or CMA data for banks/NBFCs.
  • Oversee receivables and ensure timely payment follow-ups.

• Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with statutory auditors, GST/tax consultants, and company secretaries.
  • Coordinate with marketplace account managers on reconciliation disputes.
  • Support investor and board reporting as well as fundraising data requirements.

Qualifications

• Education: CA inter / MBA (Finance).
• Experience: Relevant years of experience with prior exposure to D2C, e-commerce, or FMCG sectors.
• Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of TDS, GST (including TCS provisions).
• Software Proficiency: Competence in Tally, Zoho Books, SAP B1, and OMS tools (Unicommerce, Increff, Shopify).
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ownership mindset.
• Work Style: Comfortable operating in a lean, high-growth startup environment.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience in managing finance operations for D2C brands.
• Familiarity with e-commerce accounting processes and financial regulations.

Experience

• Minimum experience relevant to D2C, e-commerce, or FMCG sectors is strongly preferred.
