Job Summary

The Microsoft Teams Voice Specialist is responsible for implementing, managing, and optimizing Microsoft Teams Phone and other unified communication platforms. This role is vital for ensuring seamless integration and migration to cloud voice solutions, ultimately enhancing communication efficiency within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Microsoft Teams Phone for voice users, including enabling users, assigning licenses, and configuring dial plans.
  • Implement and migrate to cloud voice solutions, ensuring reliable communication through Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Truphone, and Webex.
  • Configure Direct Routing for users and manage voice policies to ensure an optimal telephony experience.
  • Monitor voice and video project progress, manage risks and issues, and provide comprehensive reporting documentation.
  • Design and plan Microsoft Teams PSTN solutions, addressing requirements for connectivity and licensing needs.
  • Integrate Microsoft Teams with other unified communications systems, ensuring robust functionality and advanced configurations.

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Teams IM and Voice.
  • Strong understanding of Zoom, Truphone, and Webex products along with installation and configuration services.
  • Experience with Contact Center Telephony and core applications like Asterisk, IP PBX, SBC, and GSM Gateways.
  • Proficiency in creating voice routing and Microsoft Teams policies.
  • Knowledge of hybrid deployments of Microsoft Teams and updating Cumulative updates.
  • Experience in migrating to and implementing cloud voice solutions, including Lync and Skype for Business.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess and troubleshoot issues effectively in high-pressure environments.
  • Relevant certifications such as Master Certification for Microsoft Productivity (MCSE Productivity) are preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with advanced configurations for direct routing and complex Skype voice solutions.
  • Skills in configuring audio, video, and telephony solutions for integration with Exchange/Office 365.
  • Ability to work with PowerShell for managing user settings and features.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, focusing on telephony and communication solutions.
  • Experience with deploying Microsoft Teams Phone solutions is a plus.
