Job Summary
The Microsoft D365 Finance and Operations Developer will focus on programming and system integrations specific to Microsoft D365 Finance and Operations (F&O). This role is pivotal in enhancing integration capabilities between F&O and other applications, contributing to the overall operational efficiency of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop program code using .NET Framework and X++ programming within F&O.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design, build, test, document, and deploy data integrations between F&O and third-party applications.
- Prepare Transact-SQL Data Definition Language (DDL) and Data Manipulation Language (DML) queries in Azure SQL Server.
- Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) utilizing both iterative and Agile development methodologies.
- Work within application governance frameworks to plan, design, and implement future state changes to F&O and related systems.
- Create and update documentation for enterprise solutions, including mapping of system modifications and integrations.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving end-user issues within F&O as needed.
- Champion and adhere to software engineering industry standards and best practices aligned with Chemonics.
Qualifications
- Proven experience configuring Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations.
- Strong development skills in .NET Framework and X++ programming in F&O.
- Proven track record of developing and testing enterprise-level data integrations with F&O.
- Experience creating DDL and DML queries using Transact-SQL in Azure SQL Server.
- Familiarity with all phases of software development life cycle (SDLC) using Waterfall or Agile methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with software engineering best practices.
- Familiarity with Agile project management tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of business processes and operations relevant to the finance industry.
Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, specifically with Microsoft D365 Finance and Operations.
Environment
- This position can be located in Washington, D.C. or can be performed remotely within the Eastern Time Zone of the United States. The role will require collaboration during U.S. working hours.
