Sales Manager – Recovered Carbon Black (rCB) / SCM

Company Overview

Adideva Carbon LLP is setting up an end-to-end integrated ELT recycling facility in Shamli, UP, with a capacity of approximately 150 MT/day and commercial production targeted for June 2026. We produce high-quality Recovered Carbon Black (rCB)/SCM, Tyre Pyrolysis Oil (TPO), and Steel Wire through advanced pyrolysis and carbon upgradation with minimal manual intervention.

Job Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Technical Sales professional to lead market development and customer qualification for our rCB/SCM in tire, rubber, and polymer applications. This role combines technical credibility with commercial acumen to drive the adoption of rCB as a sustainable alternative to prime carbon black.

Responsibilities

  • Market Development: Identify, map, and engage tire majors, compounders, masterbatch producers, and rubber goods manufacturers for rCB trials and adoption.
  • Technical Selling: Lead product presentations, sample submissions, and plant trials. Address customer queries on rCB specifications, performance, dispersion, reinforcement, and compounding adjustments.
  • Customer Qualification: Coordinate with customer Research & Development (R&D), Quality Assurance (QA), and production teams for lab testing, pilot batches, and approval processes per ASTM D24 and relevant standards.
  • Application Support: Collaborate with the internal production/QC team to align rCB grades with end-use requirements across tire treads, sidewalls, inner-liners, and non-tire rubber goods.
  • Commercial Negotiations: Drive pricing, volumes, and supply agreements. Manage Requests for Quotations (RFQs), contracts, and key account relationships.
  • Market Intelligence: Track virgin carbon black pricing, sustainability mandates, competitor rCB players, and regulatory trends such as Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and carbon footprint norms.
  • Partnerships: Build relationships with industry bodies, consultants, and sustainability heads to position rCB as a Supply Chain Management (SCM) solution in circular economy frameworks.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 10-15 years in technical sales/business development within carbon black, rubber chemicals, compounding, or the tire industry.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of carbon black properties—structure, surface area, particle size, ash content, and toluene discoloration. Familiarity with ASTM D3053, D3849, D6556, D1618, and tire compounding.
  • Network: Existing relationships with technical/procurement teams at tire and rubber companies in India/SE Asia preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent presentation, negotiation, and cross-functional coordination skills. Willingness to travel 40-50% for customer trials and plant visits.
  • Education: B.E./B.Tech in Chemical/Polymer/Rubber Technology or M.Sc in Chemistry. An MBA is a plus.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with industry regulations and standards in the tire and polymer sectors.

Experience

10-15 years of relevant experience in technical sales/business development, specifically in the carbon black and tire industries.

Environment

This position is based in Gurgaon, India, and will require significant travel to customer sites for trials and meetings.
