Job Summary

The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring that solutions meet business objectives within the insurance domain. This position involves collaborating with development and business teams, conducting assessments, and supporting user acceptance testing. You will act as a subject matter expert (SME) on life insurance processes, aiding in the clarity and translation of business needs into detailed requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with development and business teams to validate that solutions meet business objectives.
  • Conduct gap analysis, process mapping, and impact assessments related to changes in the CyberLife system.
  • Prepare detailed use cases, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria for User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Lead or support User Acceptance Testing by coordinating with business testers, executing test scripts, tracking defects, and ensuring timely closure.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and structured project meetings, providing updates on requirements, risks, and testing readiness.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on life insurance processes, including policy lifecycle, billing, claims, underwriting, and benefits.
  • Assist in data validation, legacy data mapping, and policy migration efforts when applicable.
  • Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements with clarity and detail.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance domain, with 2+ years working directly with the CyberLife system.
  • Strong knowledge of life insurance products, policy administration processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with CyberLife workflows, segment structures, and business rules.
  • Proven ability to document Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Requirements Documents (FRD), user stories, process flows, and data dictionaries.
  • Experience preparing and executing UAT test cases, including defect tracking and triage.
  • Familiarity with mainframe systems, COBOL outputs, VSAM data, and JCL job dependencies from a business/testing perspective.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with both technical teams and business users.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
