Position Title: Database Administrator (DBA) I<br />
Band/ Grade: RXBIN-1<br />
Department: Product / IT<br />
Reports to: Senior Manager, Data Engineering<br />
Location: Hyderabad Office<br />
Job Type: Onsite<br />
Work Hours: Standard office hours with some communication after hours with US<br />
Salary Range: 8 – 13 lakhs pa</div>

Job Summary:<br />
Job duties include understanding the application interaction with the data,<br />
monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting issues. Ensures database<br />
resilience, availability, recovery, maintenance, data integrity, and capacity<br />
planning requirements. Provides a high degree of coordination between<br />
Infrastructure, QA, and Development teams to ensure effective data<br />
management as a corporate enterprise. Has a willingness to work with<br />
customers of varying levels of technical expertise in a growing, complex<br />
environment.<br />
Duties &amp;Responsibilities:<br />
Assess database performance – tuning, monitoring, and diagnosing<br />
Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with all levels of<br />
the organization<br />
Create databases, schemas, tables, views<br />
Set database parameters or specifications<br />
Develop performance metrics or standards<br />
Coordinate project activities with other personnel or departments<br />
Read technical documents to identify database impact<br />
Develop detailed project plans as required<br />
Analyze data to identify data trends<br />
Assists with data management processes including, maintenance,<br />
monitoring, and development of database applications</div>
<div>Qualifications and Requirements:<br />
3 years experience in database design, support, and management<br />
3 years MySQL/Postgres database administration/database development<br />
required<br />
AWS Aurora and RDS experience<br />
Ability to create and tune highly complex SQL queries</div>

Advanced education/training in database design and/or database<br />
management<br />
One or more certifications in database design and administration<br />
Knowledge of database sizing and data performance tuning<br />
Knowledge of scripting language is a plus (Python, Powershell, Ruby, etc)<br />
Inquisitive personality and willingness to learn business processes and<br />
new technologies.<br />
Participate in on-call rotation for DB support<br />
Team player with strong interpersonal skills, can report business impact to<br />
the lay person, and is persuasive in recommending solutions to a technical<br />
audience</div>
