Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Leader to drive architecture, execution, and engineering excellence across a rapidly scaling fintech platform. This role demands a strong blend of hands-on technical depth, people leadership, and product thinking, contributing to the organization's overall goals by delivering robust and scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineering teams with a strong focus on quality, ownership, execution excellence, and fostering an engineering culture.
• Design and review scalable, resilient, and secure system architectures across backend, frontend, and infrastructure layers.
• Architect and guide the development of backend systems using Java-based frameworks such as Quarkus and Spring Boot.
• Drive frontend architecture and engineering standards using ReactJS, TypeScript, and Vite.
• Work across multi-cloud environments, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure, with a solid understanding of Kubernetes, containerization, CI/CD, observability, and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Collaborate closely with product, business, and design teams to roadmap, scope, prioritize, and execute initiatives effectively.
• Define and enforce engineering best practices, coding standards, architecture governance, reliability standards, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes across teams.
• Build systems designed for scalability, performance, security, resilience, and operational excellence.
• Drive end-to-end execution across multiple concurrent initiatives while balancing speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualifications: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with substantial experience leading engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of large-scale distributed systems and modern application architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Quarkus, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and backend engineering practices.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as ReactJS, TypeScript, and Vite.
• Experience with cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure, as well as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, observability, scalability, and reliability engineering.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in fintech, banking, payments, lending, or high-scale Software as a Service (SaaS) environments is preferred.

Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant engineering experience, particularly in leading high-performing engineering teams.
