Job Description
The Role
As a Chassis Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and
optimization of the chassis and suspension systems for our electric motorbikes. You will
specifically focus on the bike’s suspension, brakes, wheels, tires, and transmission. Your
work will ensure that our motorbikes oYer superior handling, stability, and comfort, while
also meeting the stringent safety and durability requirements necessary for emerging
markets. You will collaborate closely with other engineering teams to integrate the chassis
design with the overall vehicle architecture, ensuring a seamless and high-performance
product.
What You Will Do
• Design and develop chassis systems including frames, suspension, steering, and
braking components for electric motorbikes.
• Perform detailed analysis and simulation of chassis components to ensure optimal
performance, weight distribution, and durability.
• Select appropriate components and design subsystems that balance weight,
strength, and cost while meeting performance targets.
• Develop and execute testing protocols to validate the performance and reliability of
chassis designs, including on-road testing in diverse environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including powertrain, battery, and
electronics engineers, to ensure the chassis design integrates seamlessly with other
vehicle systems.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability and scalability, working closely with
suppliers and manufacturing partners.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of design processes, simulations, testing
results, and design iterations.
• Ensure all chassis designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations,
particularly those related to vehicle safety and structural integrity.
What You Bring
• 5+ years of experience in chassis engineering, preferably within the automotive or
electric vehicle industry.
• Strong expertise in chassis design, including experience with suspension systems,
frame design, and steering mechanisms.
• Proficiency in CAD and CAE tools for designing and simulating chassis components.
• Experience with vehicle dynamics and handling characteristics, with a focus on
creating a balanced and stable ride.
• Proven ability to take designs from concept through to production, including
prototyping and testing.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic
environment.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working in crossfunctional
teams.
• Passion for electric vehicles and sustainable transportation solutions.
Great to Haves
• Experience with electric two-wheelers or motorcycles, particularly in the design of
chassis and suspension systems.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards related to vehicle safety and chassis integrity.
• Familiarity with the challenges of designing for emerging markets, including
infrastructure and environmental considerations.
Benefits
• World-Class Team: Join a team of leading engineers, operators, entrepreneurs from
across the globe who are part of the inevitable trillion-dollar transition of twowheelers
to electric!
• Competitive Compensation: Competitive salary and equity package based on
experience.
• Impact: Be a part of the trillion-dollar transition of two-wheelers to electric and
make a significant impact on global energy consumption and emissions.
