Transformation Manager - Hosur
Job Summary
As a Transformation Manager based at the Hosur factory, you will be responsible for strategizing and driving the digital transformation roadmap across the entire manufacturing organization, including Vehicle & Battery Assembly Line, Quality, Warehousing, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management (SCM). You will act as a key business partner, technology evangelist, and process champion, collaborating closely with product owners and transformation teams to prioritize stakeholder requirements, implement scalable technology solutions, and promote lean processes to enhance operational efficiency and business value.
Responsibilities
- Business Partner: Strategize the digital roadmap for manufacturing operations by collaborating with product owners of Factory, Warehouse, Logistics, and other functions. Provide guidance and support to Transformation Managers and Leads, prioritize stakeholder requirements, and communicate business criticality to the information systems group.
- Technology Evangelist: Advocate for the creation and maintenance of a healthy product backlog and promote digitization efforts. Develop a deep understanding of stakeholder tools, build technology roadmaps focused on scale, efficiency, automation, and quality improvement. Own design and documentation of Factory SAP modules (PP, QMS, WM, MM), MES, and ARIBA, ensuring stable and scalable integration within SAP and MES ecosystems.
- Process Champion: Assist stakeholders in developing lean processes aligned with business objectives. Translate problem statements into technical solutions by collaborating with the technology team. Participate in early User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and drive adoption through training, awareness, and post-implementation support.
- Guide development teams to implement solutions adhering to product development standards and resolve bugs or integration issues to ensure business continuity.
- Drive adoption of industry best practices and leverage new SAP product features to optimize business processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Engineering.
- 10 to 14 years of digital transformation experience in the automotive 2W/4W manufacturing industry.
- Strong hands-on experience in setting up processes and systems for 2W/4W manufacturing setups.
- Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end business value chains including Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Warehousing.
- Proficient in business process design, including Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and Value Stream Design and Improvement Analysis (VSDiA).
- Basic understanding of IT architecture and working knowledge of ERP tools such as SAP (PP, QM, WM, MM), TC PLM, MES, and Ariba.
- Strong quantitative analytical skills with a focus on Return on Investment (ROI) and business value delivery.
- Superior communication, storytelling, and negotiation skills.
- Self-driven with strong interpersonal skills and a team player attitude.
Preferred Skills
- Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent from a premier business school (desirable).
- Experience as an Industry 4.0 or Digital Manufacturing consultant.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.
- Implementation experience in SAP modules (PP, QM, WM, MM), Ariba, and MES.
Experience
- 10 to 14 years of relevant experience in digital transformation within the automotive 2W/4W manufacturing sector.
- Proven track record in process and system implementation, business process design, and technology adoption.
