Job Summary

The Automation Test Engineer will develop and maintain automated test scripts, primarily using Cypress for both UI and API testing. This role is critical in ensuring the functionality and performance of software applications while integrating automated tests within CI/CD pipelines. The individual will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and participate in Agile practices to enhance test coverage and quality assurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress (JavaScript).
• Perform UI and API testing to validate functionality and performance.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
• Analyze test results, identify bugs, and work with developers to resolve issues.
• Continuously improve test coverage and automation frameworks.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Utilize JIRA and Confluence for test management and documentation.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in Cypress with a minimum of 2+ years actively using it for API and UI Automation.
• Proficient in SQL for database validation.
• Experience with JMeter for performance testing (load, bottleneck, stress).
• Familiarity with Jenkins for test execution and builds.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum).
• Experience using JIRA for test management tasks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of additional automation tools and frameworks.
• Familiarity with other testing tools and methodologies.
• Experience in performance testing beyond JMeter.

Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in automation testing roles.

Environment

The work setting is flexible as the location is specified to be "Any PSL."
