Job Description:

  1. Client Consultation and Assessment:
    • Meet commercial (SME) clients to understand their insurance requirements, risk exposures, and business operations.
    • Assess clients' existing insurance coverage and identify any gaps or areas of improvement.
    • Analyse commercial insurance policies, including fire, marine, general liability, property, workers' compensation, professional liability, and others.
  2. Insurance Solution Development:
    • Customize insurance plans tailored to meet clients' specific needs and risk profiles.
    • Provide recommendations on appropriate coverage limits, deductibles, and policy terms.
    • Collaborate with insurance underwriters to negotiate favourable terms and conditions for clients.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to ensure the provision of up-to-date insurance solutions.
    • Continuously expand knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverages, and industry best practices.

 

  1. Customer Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact for insurance-related inquiries and services.
    • Provide proactive customer service, addressing client concerns, and resolving any issues or claims in a timely manner.
    • Conduct regular policy reviews with clients to assess their changing insurance needs and recommend adjustments as necessary.
    • Act as a trusted advisor, offering risk management advice and strategies to mitigate potential liabilities.
    • Share expertise and provide training to colleagues and junior staff members on commercial insurance topics.

Work Experience Requirement:

  • Should have worked with a insurance broking firm for minimum of 5-7 years in the capacity of providing commercial insurance solutions to SMEs.
  • Sales and customer relationship management.
  • Ability to influence the decision makers to develop products as per business needs.

Functional Competency:

  • Regulatory knowledge on product side
  • Product pricing knowhow
  • Understanding of product and underwriting nuances

  • Good drafting, communication skill and presentation skills;
