Business Development Intern
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Intern to join our fast-growing data analytics startup. In this role, you will play a key part in expanding our client base and building strong relationships with B2B clients, including startups, MSMEs (Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises), digital agencies, and D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) brands. This is a 2-month internship offering hands-on experience with the opportunity to transition into a full-time Business Development Executive role based on your performance and business needs. You will work directly with the founder and collaborate with clients on real-world data solutions, gaining invaluable exposure in the tech and analytics sector.
Responsibilities
- Identify and connect with potential B2B clients such as startups, MSMEs, digital agencies, and D2C brands.
- Pitch the company's data analytics services to prospective clients.
- Manage multi-channel outreach including LinkedIn, cold emails, cold calls, WhatsApp, and other platforms.
- Qualify leads, schedule meetings, and assist in preparing business proposals.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to refine messaging and offerings based on ongoing market feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and business development activities.
- Stay updated with industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, Sales, or a related field.
- Strong willingness to learn new sales and marketing tools and technologies.
- Curious, proactive mindset with a strong passion for technology, data, and solving business problems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, startup environment.
- Basic understanding of sales processes and lead generation is an advantage.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar business development tools.
- Familiarity with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) platforms.
- Prior internship or project experience in business development, sales, or marketing.
- Knowledge of the data analytics industry or SaaS (Software as a Service) products.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and adaptability to changing priorities.
Experience
- Minimum Experience: 0 years (Freshers and recent graduates are welcome).
- Relevant experience in client outreach, sales, business development, or marketing (internships, projects, or extracurriculars) is a plus.
