Job Summary

The GM-Projects role focuses on leading and managing facade engineering projects with a strong emphasis on accountability, ownership, and quality. The position requires expertise in facade systems, project management, and coordination with multiple stakeholders including design departments, surveyors, client consultants, and logistic teams. The role demands a proactive planner who is process-driven, detail-oriented, and committed to client success while maintaining ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage facade engineering projects, ensuring timely execution and adherence to quality standards.
• Coordinate effectively with design, structural consultants, facade consultants, architects, plant, and logistics teams.
• Develop and implement installation sequences and method statements in compliance with industry regulations such as ASTM, AAMA, EN, and others.
• Oversee project management activities including critical path method planning, baseline and progress tracking, and reporting.
• Manage commercial and contractual terms, including variation claims and client negotiations.
• Ensure quality management and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Build and develop project teams, fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Monitor scope management, change orders, running and final bills, and ensure alignment with project goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in facade engineering (first 3 years may be in any engineering field).
• Strong technical and engineering skills related to facade systems and materials.
• Proficient in architectural and structural drawings interpretation.
• Expertise in project management tools and digital software such as AutoCAD, ERP systems, MS Project.
• Knowledge of facade industry regulations including ASTM, AAMA, EN, and others.
• Familiarity with LEED standards and quality management processes.
• Excellent planning, time management, and decision-making skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
• Educational qualification: Engineering degree (BTech or equivalent).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with KPI monitoring and performance measurement.
• Knowledge of commercial and contractual negotiation strategies.
• Ability to innovate and adapt flexibly to project challenges.
• Team-building and leadership capabilities.
• Understanding of installation sequencing and method statement development.

Experience

• 15 years of relevant experience in facade engineering and project management.
• Experience in managing complex facade projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Proven track record in quality management, commercial negotiations, and project execution.

Environment

• Full-time, in-office position based in Bangalore.

Salary

• INR 18,00,000 per annum
