Senior Frontend Developer

Job Summary

The Senior Frontend Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality web applications using Angular. This role serves as a technical lead, providing guidance and mentorship to junior developers, conducting code reviews, and collaborating closely with UX/UI designers to translate designs into efficient, maintainable code. The position requires a strong focus on writing clean code, troubleshooting, and staying current with industry trends to contribute effectively to the organization’s goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality web applications using Angular.
• Mentor junior developers and share best practices to enhance team capabilities.
• Act as the first point of contact for technical questions and provide technical leadership.
• Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement design specifications into functional code.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code along with comprehensive tests.
• Troubleshoot and debug frontend applications to resolve issues promptly.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and frontend technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in frontend development.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Angular (version 17+).
• Proficient in Angular and RxJS.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and TypeScript.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Understanding of responsive design principles.
• Proficient in English for effective collaboration with European colleagues.
• Experience conducting code reviews and writing unit/component tests.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership.
• Good task and time management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with frontend technologies such as Playwright and Storybook.
• Previous team lead and mentoring experience.
• Familiarity with build tools including NX, EsLint, Prettier, and Angular CLI.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of backend technologies like Java and Node.js.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Exposure to other frontend frameworks/libraries such as Vaadin, Lit, or Polymer.

Experience

• Minimum of 10 years in frontend development roles.
• At least 5 years of specialized experience working with Angular.

Environment

• Full-time position based in Chennai.
• Hybrid work mode combining remote and in-office work.
