Job Description
Title: AVP Finance
Location: Mumbai
Reports To: Finance Head
Comp: 50 – 55 Lacs
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Finance professional to lead and coordinate core financial functions across consolidation, taxation, compliance, and management information systems for a leading Media Company based out of Mumbai
Key Areas of Work:
1) Consolidation
- Prepare, review, and consolidate financial statements for the Company in accordance with IND AS and internal policy.
- Ensure financial closing calendar, forecasts, and annual audit support.
- Monitor and improve the consolidation process efficiency
2) Taxation
- Lead Company taxation activities including corporate income tax, indirect taxes and tax audits.
- Ensure timely preparation and filing of tax returns; ensure timely payments and compliance.
- Identify tax planning opportunities to optimize cash taxes while maintaining compliance and risk controls.
- Manage tax audits, notices, and dispute resolution with tax authorities; prepare supporting documentation.
3) Company Compliance (Regulatory & Internal Controls)
- Oversee statutory filings, annual reports, corporate secretarial duties, and compliance calendars.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements, licensing, licenses, and board resolutions.
4) MIS and Management Reporting
- Develop, maintain, and enhance management information systems to deliver timely, accurate financial and operational reporting.
- Automate data collection, reconciliation, and reporting processes; drive data quality initiatives and standardization.
- Prepare regular management reports (monthly/quarterly/annual) and scenario analyses to support strategic decisions.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis; provide actionable recommendations.
Others:
- Lead special projects (M&A integration, system implementations, process improvements).
- Participate in pricing strategy, capital planning, and treasury liaison
- Develop and deliver training for finance staff on policies, procedures, and systems.
Required Qualifications:
- CA with 10 to 12 years of relevant experience.
