Job Description

Role Outline – Business Head<br /> Evochef is looking for a business leader with minimum 15–18 years of rich industry experience, who can eventually take over as the CEO of the company.<br /> The incumbent will be expected to take over the responsibility of taking the final product to the market and increase the sales both in India as well as some key markets outside of India.<br /> The incumbent should have a deep understanding of the product/pricing/procurement of the kitchen/ home appliances products.<br /> This includes both IP-led (patented) innovations and trade appliances (such as air fryers, toasters, OTGs, induction stoves, gas stoves, slow juicers, etc.). The candidate must be capable of devising differentiated sourcing and go-to-market strategies for each product type.<br /> The incumbent should be able to work in a lean team along with limited resources, till the time the revenue starts flowing in.<br /> The incumbent will be expected to build his/her own team.<br /> The individual should bring hands-on experience in building dealer/distributor networks, and have deep exposure to modern trade and large-format retail (e.g., Croma, Reliance Digital, Amazon, etc.).<br /> The candidate must be based in Chennai for at least the first 10-12 months to ensure strong cultural alignment with the founders, team integration, and effective onboarding into Evochef’s operating rhythm. Important Addition: Beyond the initial period, the final base location will be determined solely by business requirements. For example, if Chennai emerges as the operational headquarters, the leader will need to continue operating from Chennai. Conversely, if the company’s strategic direction demands that the CEO be based in Mumbai (e.g., due to financial market access or investor relationships), that requirement must be met.<br /> The candidate will be reporting to the founder of Evochef and the board simultaneously
