Job Description

Key Responsibilities • Product Development: Work closely with chefs to develop and improve recipes for bakery items including tea cakes, brownies, muffins, breads, cookies, and custom cakes • Shelf Life Optimization: Extend shelf life of key products (aiming for 15–30 days where applicable) using ingredient tweaks, packaging solutions, and preservatives if needed • Recipe Standardization: Document recipes for scale, with accurate batch yields and repeatability across kitchens • Healthy Product Innovation: Create better-for-you variants like sugar-free, gluten-free, or high-protein bakery items • Trend Identification: Research and recommend trending bakery formats and flavors for Gen Z and urban audiences • Packaging Collaboration: Work with packaging suppliers to recommend suitable solutions that help maintain freshness and visual appeal ⸻ Requirements • BTech / MSc in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field • 2–5 years of hands-on experience in R&D roles for a bakery or packaged food brand • Strong understanding of ingredient functionality in baked goods (eggless baking preferred) • Demonstrated work on shelf-life extension, especially for tea cakes, brownies, and breads • Familiarity with scaling recipes for cloud kitchens or large-scale production • Bonus: Experience with vacuum sealing, MAP, or natural preservative systems
