Job Summary

The Project Manager - IT is responsible for leading and driving IT programs with ownership and accountability. This role oversees the project lifecycle from inception through to execution and closure, ensuring alignment across cross-functional teams while maintaining strategic oversight. The Project Manager acts as a liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring timely delivery and effective communication of project status.

Responsibilities

  • Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire project lifecycle from ideation and planning to execution and closure.
  • Team Management: Coordinate and manage cross-functional project teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary liaison between business units and technical teams to gather, clarify, and prioritize requirements.
  • Tracking & Reporting: Monitor project progress, maintain dashboards, and provide timely status reports to stakeholders.
  • Escalation Management: Identify risks and issues early, escalate when necessary, and drive resolution.
  • Unified Project Visibility: Maintain a centralized view of all ongoing, pipeline, and ideation-stage projects across departments.
  • Strategic Oversight: Provide insights into project interdependencies, resource allocation, and strategic alignment.
  • Budget Management: Utilize a strong understanding of budgeting and financial management.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Computer Science, or a related field. (Master's degree preferred)
  • Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or relevant certification is essential.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in program and project management, managing multiple mid-large scale projects.
  • Skills:
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in project management and business administration tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, Asana).
    • Experience in the asset management or mutual funds industry is highly desirable.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with financial management and budgeting processes within the context of IT projects.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional environment.

Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in program and project management, preferably within the asset management or mutual funds industry.
