Job Summary
The Head of Finance will be a critical member of the leadership team, responsible for shaping CWC's next phase of growth. This hands-on leadership role encompasses finance, treasury management, capital raising, asset-liability management (ALM), taxation, regulatory governance, investor management, and financial strategy. The ideal candidate will build the finance function to support the rapid scaling of the NBFC, ensuring robust financial controls, governance, and capital efficiency.
Responsibilities

Treasury, Fundraising & ALM
- Own the company’s overall treasury strategy and liquidity management.
- Lead relationships with banks, financial institutions, debt investors, and funding partners.
- Drive debt fundraising through bank borrowings, NCDs, Commercial Paper, and other financing avenues.
- Evaluate opportunities around securitization, co-lending, and structured finance transactions.

Finance & Controllership
- Lead financial reporting, accounting, management information system (MIS), budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ensure robust financial controls, governance, and audit processes.
- Strengthen finance processes and systems as the organization scales.

Taxation
- Oversee compliance for direct and indirect taxes, ensuring timely filings and statutory requirements.
- Manage tax audits, assessments, and interactions with tax authorities and advisors.

Regulatory & Risk Governance
- Ensure timely and accurate RBI and regulatory reporting.
- Partner with Risk, Credit, Operations, and Business teams on financial matters.

Investor & Board Management
- Lead financial reporting and communication with investors and lenders.
- Prepare updates to the Board and senior leadership on financial and business performance.

Leadership
- Build and lead a strong finance organization across controllership, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), treasury, taxation, and regulatory finance.
- Develop a scalable finance operating model suited to a rapidly growing NBFC.
Qualifications
Preferred Skills
- Experience across bank borrowing, NCDs, Commercial Paper, securitization, and co-lending.
Experience
- A minimum of 9 to 15 years of relevant experience in the financial services sector, especially in roles related to finance and treasury management.
Environment
