The MEP Engineer (Plumbing background) plays a critical role in planning, coordinating, and executing plumbing-related projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality control measures. Responsibilities

Project Planning & Coordination
- Review MEP drawings, specifications, and Bill of Quantities (BOQs), highlighting discrepancies prior to the commencement of work.
- Coordinate with consultants, architects, structural engineers, and contractors to resolve site execution queries.
- Ensure timely submission and approval of shop drawings and technical submittals by the consultant.
- Ensure MEP works align with project timelines and milestones.
- Track and follow up with all services stakeholders daily to prevent delays in project completion.
- Submit project-related documentation, including Daily and Weekly Progress Reports, Purchase Requisitions, Quality checklists, Project Schedules, and Handing Over Documentation.

Installation & Execution
- Supervise installation of firefighting systems, Fire Alarm and Public Address (FAPA) systems, plumbing, drainage systems, Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), elevators, and HVAC systems.
- Monitor contractor performance, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate for mock-up arrangements and approvals from the consultant on-site.
- Resolve technical onsite issues in coordination with consultants and contractors.
- Raise Requests for Information (RFIs) for addressing technical queries promptly.
- Implement value engineering to optimize costs during the execution phase.
- Follow checklist protocols to certify contractor measurements and bills for timely payment processing.

Quality Control & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, quality, and safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and prepare quality reports weekly.
- Ensure timely closure of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Verify that materials delivered to the site match approved specifications.
- Coordinate with the in-house Quality team to address quality concerns.
- Implement Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards on site.

Testing & Commissioning
- Oversee the testing and commissioning of mechanical, firefighting, and plumbing services.
- Maintain accurate records of all testing and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate third-party inspections as required.
- Ensure proper handover documentation and as-built drawings are completed.
- Collaborate with the Facility Management (FM) team for smooth handover processes.
Qualifications
- Full-time Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in residential construction projects.
- Sound knowledge of Mechanical, Firefighting, FAPA, and Plumbing services.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with local construction codes and standards.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Experience
