Job Summary

The Magento QA Lead will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of software releases for Magento-based applications. This role involves leading QA initiatives, developing automated test scripts, and collaborating with development teams to enhance product reliability and performance. The ideal candidate will contribute to the overall success of the organization by improving the quality assurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the QA testing efforts for Magento applications, ensuring thorough test coverage and high-quality deliverables.
• Develop and implement automated UI tests using Playwright and other testing frameworks.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers in the agile development process, utilizing a Behavior Driven Development (BDD) framework.
• Conduct regular code reviews and provide feedback on testing methods and processes.
• Mentor junior QA team members and provide guidance on best practices in testing workflows.
• Report and track bugs, ensuring they are resolved in a timely manner while maintaining a record of software quality metrics.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in quality assurance, specifically with Magento applications.
• Proficiency in JavaScript for test automation.
• Strong experience with UI Automation tools, particularly Playwright.
• In-depth knowledge of BDD frameworks and their application in test automation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of PHP and experience with Magento’s architecture.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes.
• Understanding of performance testing and load testing methodologies.

Experience

• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in QA and software testing, with a strong focus on Magento platforms.

Environment

This role is remote, allowing for flexibility in work location. Candidates should be equipped to work independently and manage their time effectively.

Salary

Estimated salary for this role is $80,000 annually.
