Job Summary

The Backend Developer will design and implement backend services, focusing on building RESTful APIs using Python frameworks. This role plays a crucial part in developing scalable applications and optimizing database performance, directly contributing to the organization's technology goals.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop RESTful APIs using Python frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
• Implement ORM solutions with Django ORM and SQLAlchemy for database interactions.
• Ensure code quality by adhering to Python best practices (PEP8) and design principles for scalable applications.
• Utilize testing frameworks, notably pytest, for application testing and validation.
• Manage and optimize databases using PostgreSQL and MySQL, emphasizing on ORM techniques.
• Work with Docker and Git/GitHub, utilizing GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with cloud services, particularly Azure components like Web Apps and Functions.
• Apply best practices in database design principles and optimization techniques.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in backend development.
• Proficient in Python with a strong understanding of coding standards and best practices.
• Familiarity with testing tools like pytest.
• Understanding of PostgreSQL and MySQL databases; experience with object-relational mapping.
• In-depth knowledge of containerization using Docker.
• Proficient with Git and GitHub, including experience with GitHub Actions.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Familiarity with cloud components, specifically Azure-related technologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with additional Python frameworks may be beneficial.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.
• Understanding of security standards in backend development.

Experience

• At least 6 years of experience in backend development, particularly with Python technologies and cloud integration.

Environment

• Work from Office (WFO) in Bangalore, Mahadevpura, AB In Bev.
