Deputy CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

This role is with a PropCo that owns premium wellness assets across Kerala, Bengaluru, and Goa. The company is rapidly expanding by entering adjacent businesses and acquiring new operating assets.
Job Summary
The Deputy Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead the full finance agenda for the organization, focusing on strategic planning, annual operating plans, project-level cash flow management, financial reporting, capital allocation governance, and investor relations. The role requires close partnership with the leadership team and Board of Directors to drive growth and operational excellence.
Responsibilities

Strategy Planning and Execution
- Lead the financial strategy in alignment with business growth and capital allocation priorities.
- Own annual business planning and performance management across the organization.
- Partner with the leadership team to translate strategy into measurable outcomes.
- Drive disciplined capital allocation across projects, investments, working capital, and strategic opportunities.

M&A and Corporate Finance
- Evaluate, structure, and execute new asset acquisitions, monetization, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
- Oversee equity and debt fundraising, credit ratings, and working capital structures.

Investor Relations and Capital Markets
- Translate investor expectations and feedback into actionable insights for the CEO, Board, and leadership team.

Corporate Governance
- Strengthen governance, internal controls, enterprise risk management, and secretarial compliance.

Digital Finance & Reporting
- Oversee ERP and digital finance transformation initiatives.
- Build and lead high-performance finance and secretarial teams.
- Own financial reporting, compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), statutory audit, and internal audits.
- Manage project cash flows, treasury, and banking and lender relationships.
- Oversee direct and indirect tax strategy and compliance.
Qualifications

Educational Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) — Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) (mandatory).
- Additional qualifications such as CMA, CS, MBA (Finance), CFA, or equivalent preferred.

Experience
- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, transitioning from business finance or controllership to CFO role.
- Proven track record of exceptional performance and demonstrated M&A execution.

- Strong growth and strategic mindset combined with operational rigor.
- High integrity and governance-first culture with effective stakeholder management skills.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of relevant finance leadership experience, particularly within growth stage startups in operating Prop Co, construction, or hospitality sectors.
