Job Summary

We are seeking a Backend-Heavy Full Stack Engineer to join our team and contribute to building high-performance, scalable enterprise applications. The role involves owning backend systems while collaborating across the full technology stack to embed AI capabilities into customer workflows. The ideal candidate will have experience in deploying real products, working with APIs, distributed systems, databases, and cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on AI integration.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable web applications and backend services.
  • Develop clean, reliable APIs, microservices, and event-driven workflows.
  • Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, vector search, and AI agents into production applications.
  • Build secure systems with strong authentication, authorization, and role-based access controls.
  • Optimize database performance, service reliability, latency, and overall application performance.
  • Collaborate with Product, AI, QA, and Design teams to take features from concept to production.
  • Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, testing, deployments, and production support.
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, observability, and engineering standards.
  • Own modules end-to-end and help resolve real customer and production issues.

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of full stack engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on backend development.
  • Hands-on experience with Node.js, Express.js, REST APIs, microservices, Apache Kafka, and event-driven systems.
  • Working familiarity with frontend development and modern web application architecture.
  • Proven experience building and supporting production applications used by real customers.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Neo4j, and/or similar data stores.
  • Exposure to vector databases such as PgVector, Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with Docker, Docker Compose, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms.
  • Experience with JWT, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and RBAC.
  • Educational qualifications: Relevant degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with enterprise identity systems, directory integrations, or identity-related APIs.
  • Hands-on experience integrating AI capabilities using providers such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or similar.
  • Experience building or supporting RAG applications, vector search, embeddings, AI agents, copilots, or AI-driven workflow automation.
  • Ability to articulate how AI capabilities are transitioned from development to stable production environments.
