Job Summary

The AWS Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data processing systems on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role plays a critical part in ensuring the organization's data architecture is robust and efficient, contributing to the overall data strategy and analytics capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines using AWS Lambda and PySpark SQL.
• Develop data processing and transformation workflows to support data analysis and reporting.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data requirements and provide solutions.
• Monitor and optimize data workflows for performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing appropriate data governance practices.
• Document data processes and maintain up-to-date technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in AWS Lambda and other AWS services.
  • Strong programming skills in Python.
  • Experience with PySpark SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools is a plus.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Hadoop or Apache Kafka.
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts and tools.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.

Experience

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in data engineering or related roles, with a focus on cloud-based data solutions.

Environment

• This position is available in multiple locations: Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, Gurugram, Mumbai, and Kolkata.
• The role can be fulfilled in either a full-time or contractual capacity.

Salary

• Estimated salary range is between ₹1,000,000 and ₹1,500,000 per annum.
