Job Summary

The Sr Expert - Management Accounting plays a crucial role in delivering timely and qualitative execution of Accounting Operations, ensuring the reliability of financial statements in accordance with group standards and reporting requirements. This position is responsible for implementing best practices within relevant processes and ensuring that SAP system designs align with both group and subgroup standards, ultimately meeting local and global business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Execute Accounting Operations activities as defined by the supervisor, ensuring timely and complete execution.
  • Ensure data quality and SAP system setup comply with group standards and divisional requirements.
  • Support sites in Product Accounting and Inventory Valuation while assisting business functions for clarifications on variances.
  • Review and analyze financial outcomes related to production orders and purchase prices, driving error corrections as necessary.
  • Facilitate the audit process, supporting both internal and external audits while performing Internal Control System (ICS) controls.
  • Initiate optimization projects aimed at improving quality and efficiency within Accounting Operations.

Qualifications

  • Education: University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 6 years in General Accounting, Product Costing, Financial Analysis, or similar fields.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in SAP ERP FI/CO module, with a solid understanding of interfaces with other modules.
  • Knowledge: Strong grasp of global accounting and controlling processes, subgroup value flows, and controlling logic.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent communication skills with a strong analytical mindset.
  • Languages: Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are preferred.
  • Professional Certifications: Chartered Accountant and/or Cost Accountant are advantageous.
  • Specific Knowledge: Familiarity with Bayer Group accounting and reporting, particularly focusing on Product Accounting/Inventory Valuation (PA/IV) in compliance with Bayer's Cost Accounting Directive.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of Group accounting and reporting requirements.
  • Experience in a similar industry or environment is advantageous.

Experience

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience in accounting and financial analysis.

Environment

  • This role is based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India and its a hybrid role, within the Enabling Functions Division. The typical work setting is collaborative, allowing for interaction with multiple departments such as Operations, Controlling, and Internal Auditing.
