Prompt Engineer
Job Summary
The Prompt Engineer will focus on developing and optimizing Large Language Model (LLM) prompts to enhance model performance across a broad range of common and complex tasks, including data extraction from scanned documents. This contractual role requires expertise in prompt engineering, hands-on experience with LLMs, and the technical acumen to deliver efficient solutions using Python and Lambda functions. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in advancing AI-driven data extraction capabilities and ensuring reliable, scalable results for diverse document types.
Responsibilities
- Design, test, and optimize prompts for LLMs to improve performance on varied tasks, especially data extraction from scanned documents.
- Develop and implement prompt engineering strategies to handle both common and complex data extraction scenarios.
- Collaborate with team members to evaluate prompt effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Integrate and automate LLM-based solutions using Python and Lambda functions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to LLM prompt effectiveness and extraction accuracy.
- Document best practices, workflows, and technical solutions developed during the project.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in AI/ML, NLP, software engineering, or a related field.
- Proficient in Python programming.
- Experience with Lambda (AWS Lambda or similar serverless frameworks).
- Deep understanding of prompt engineering principles for LLMs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related discipline.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and document processing pipelines.
- Familiarity with advanced LLM architectures and fine-tuning techniques.
- Knowledge of additional cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Background in handling unstructured or semi-structured data.
- Experience with API integrations and automation.
Experience
- A minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in relevant fields such as AI, NLP, LLMs, or software development.
- Proven track record of developing and optimizing prompts for LLMs, with demonstrable outcomes in similar projects.
