Sales Head – IT Staffing

Job Summary

We're seeking a seasoned Sales Head with extensive experience in managing and scaling sales operations within the IT Staffing and Global Capability Center (GCC) domains. The successful candidate will leverage a strategic sales mindset and operational excellence to drive business growth in the Contractual & IT Staffing vertical. This role demands an individual who can foster long-term relationships and deliver sustained organizational value.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and expand end-to-end sales for IT Staffing, Time & Materials (T&M), and Staff Augmentation across key industry verticals, particularly in Services, Consulting, and GCC.
  • Drive new business acquisition and strategic account growth in both Indian and global markets.
  • Build and nurture strong CXO-level relationships with enterprise clients, positioning Quess as a preferred staffing partner.
  • Craft and deliver customized solutions, proposals, and pitches tailored to meet client business needs.
  • Define and own Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibilities, including sales planning, forecasting, and profitability management.
  • Lead contract negotiations, facilitate Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and ensure seamless onboarding and delivery transitions.
  • Collaborate closely with internal delivery and domain teams to align business goals with client expectations.
  • Identify market risks, competition trends, and industry opportunities to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Mentor and guide the sales team while actively participating in large pursuits and key accounts.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction, retention, and opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Act as a change driver by introducing scalable processes, tools, and strategies to achieve sustainable business growth.

Qualifications

  • Education: MBA or an equivalent professional degree with a focus on Business, Marketing, or HR preferred.
  • Experience: 15+ years of sales experience in IT Staffing/Staff Augmentation, with strong exposure to Services, Consulting, and GCC sectors.
  • Track Record: Proven success in driving multimillion-dollar deals, managing key accounts, and consistently achieving or exceeding targets.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
    • Strong strategic thinking skills.
    • Deep understanding of contractual staffing, Managed Service Provider (MSP) / Vendor Management System (VMS), GCC environments, and enterprise sales cycles.
    • Experience managing PAN India teams and collaborating across cross-functional groups.
    • Ability to manage ambiguity, build credibility with large enterprises, and engage in consultative selling.
    • Strong grasp of market dynamics, pricing strategies, and a solution-oriented sales approach.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong understanding of P&L ownership, business planning, and growth forecasting.
  • Proficiency in data-driven decision making and sales analytics.

Experience

  • 12–20 years of experience in sales leadership roles, specifically within the staffing and IT industry.
