Job Summary

The GM Projects will be responsible for overseeing and managing facade engineering projects, ensuring quality and efficiency in project execution. This role demands a high level of accountability, technical expertise, and a collaborative approach to achieve client success while adhering to industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide accountability and ownership for all facade engineering projects.
• Execute project management tasks including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Ensure effective coordination with design departments, surveyors, and client consultants.
• Develop installation sequence and method statements, ensuring adherence to industry regulations.
• Handle commercial and contractual terms, including variation claims and negotiations with clients.
• Develop and lead team building initiatives to foster collaboration and growth within the team.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Experience: Minimum of 15 years in facade engineering (first 3 years may be in any engineering field).
• Strong technical and engineering skills with a focus on facade systems.
• Knowledge of facade industry regulations such as ASTM, AAMA, EN, and others.
• Proficient in digital tools like AutoCAD, ERP systems, and Microsoft Project.
• Excellent planning and time management skills with an emphasis on process-driven execution.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Experience in quality management and documentation.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with LEED requirements.
• Knowledge of KPI monitoring.
• Ability to interface effectively with design, plant, and logistics teams.
• Innovative and flexible in approach, actively seeking process improvements.

Experience

• At least 15 years of experience in facade engineering, with significant project management responsibilities.
